Privacy is very important to us. We want you to fully understand our privacy practices and if you have any questions, please contact us at (866) 896-8679 or info@MotionU.com.

Overview

The MotionU system helps bring automotive and wheeled vehicle enthusiasts and professionals together in one online community. As part of the normal operation of our services, your information is collected by us in order to establish an account and to help determine what information included on the site is of interest to you based on your interests, preferences, and geographic location. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect about you and what may happen to that information.

By accepting the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service when applying to be a member of MotionU, you expressly consent to our use and disclosure of your personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to the terms of the UConvene Terms of Service.

Information We Collect

By using MotionU, we attempt to automatically provide lists of events based on user location and we store geolocation information or zip codes to automatically provide the same location sorting when you return.  We also may require you to provide contact and identity information, member information, zip code and location information, and other personal information as indicated on the forms throughout our site to use our services or become a member.    You always have the option to not provide information, but this may not allow you to fully utilize the MotionU features.

Under some circumstances we may require some additional financial information. We use your financial information, including credit card information, to verify your name, address, and other information, as well as to bill you for your use of our services. Credit card information is passed to the merchant processor and does not remain on our system.

We use data collection devices such as "cookies" on certain pages of our site to help analyze our web page flow, measure promotional effectiveness, and promote trust and safety. "Cookies" are small files placed on your hard drive that assist us in providing customized services. We offer certain features that are only available through the use of a cookie. We also use cookies to allow you to enter your password less frequently during a session. Cookies can also help us provide information that is targeted to your interests. Most cookies are "session cookies," meaning that they are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of a session. You are always free to decline our cookies if your browser permits, although in that case you may not be able to use certain features on our site and you may be required to re-enter your password more frequently during a session.

Our Use of Your Information

We will not disclose or share any of your personal information that has been collected on our website with any third party except for those event hosts whose event you register through online, or as required by law or pursuant to a governmental request. Information that is made public by you through the use of the services you request is not protected by this Privacy Policy. We use your information to facilitate the services you request.

We use information in the file we maintain about you, and other information we obtain from your current and past activities on the site, to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, and enforce our Terms of Service.

Geolocation

We attempt to find your initial location so we may provide event listings near where you may be.  This is not always accurate and you may be somewhere else on the planet.  We may ask you to allow us to use your current location from your mobile device to provide a list of events near where you currently are.  We do ask for you to enter zip codes to help locate events.  By entering a zip code that location will be stored as a cookie and when you reenter MotionU will start searching from that Zip Code.  We do not store geolocations that you have are automatically provided with your approval.

Other Information Collectors

Except as otherwise expressly included in this Privacy Policy, this document only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. To the extent that you disclose your information to other parties, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the information you disclose to them. MotionU contains web links to other sites. We are not responsible for the content of those sites or their privacy policies.

Security

MotionU uses industry standard practices to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal identifiable information, including "firewalls" and Secure Socket Layers (SSL). MotionU treats data as an asset that must be protected against loss and unauthorized access. We employ many different security techniques to protect such data from unauthorized access by users inside and outside the company. However, "perfect security" does not exist on the Internet.
